Spartan Running

Sherman Day 5k
Josh ran with Spartan Varsity team for this race.  It was a nice, sunny day and lots of youthful faces ready to run.
            Starting by the Sherman firehouse.

Josh, Danielle, Jesse, and Landers coming into last turn to        finish.
They flew by me as I tried to get their picture.

      Logan(3rd), Jesse(1st), Landers(2nd) in male 15-19, Josh(3rd overall). Yeah Spartans! Josh had PR at 21'04" for 5k.
David was promoted to 'Grand Master' with his award.

What a very beautiful day, dry conditions on the course, and lots of runners.

Me and Noelle ready to cheer on the team.
Josh staying cool and out of the sun before his 11:00 a.m. race.

What everyone enjoys-talking and catching up on life.

Richard coming around for the finish.  What running is about and the Christian walk of life: staying the course, keeping your pace and never quiting. Way to go Richard!

Varsity boys getting instruction from Bro. Jimmy at starting line.

         Ready to go.

Coming out of the wood's loop: Josh, Landers, and looks like Jesse(?).
Josh in Spartan green and blue coming around for final wood's loop.
Josh and Landers coming up for final run to finish. Kick it boy's! Josh ran the 5k in 22'15.87"

Time to rest the feet in the shade.
