Winter Jam 2011
Rejoice in the LORD, O you righteous: for praise is comely for the upright. Praise the LORD with harp: sing unto him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings. Sing unto him a new song; play skillfully with a loud noise. For the word of the LORD is right; and all his works are done in truth. He loves righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the LORD. By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth. Psalm 33:1-6

Good people, choose God! Right-living people sound best when praising. Use guitars to reinforce your Hallelujahs!
Play his praise on a grand piano! Invent your own new song to him; give him a trumpet fanfare. For GOD'S Word is solid to the core; everything he makes is sound inside and out. He loves it when everything fits, when his world is in plumb- line true. Earth is drenched in GOD'S affectionate satisfaction. The skies were made by GOD'S command,he breathed the word and the stars popped out. Psalm 33:1-6

Milestone
A milestone of modern adolescence occurred in our household today. Josh went to the Mississippi Department of Public Safety Office in Tupelo and took the written test to get his driving- learner's permit. We stopped at the Bank to get the forms notarized and then headed to the Driver License Station at the Furniture Market. There were several other teenagers taking their written test, one young man before Josh didn't pass and was a little disappointed. Another young man before Josh, also named Josh, had passed and one could tell he was more excited about passing than the expression on his mom's face which showed she was worried about now having a young man ready to be behind the wheel of a vehicle. Josh took the test, passed, paid his $4.00 and got his picture taken and now had his permit ready to begin practice driving. David gets to be the instructor, I'll being praying for them!

Our Father's Care
Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? Matthew 6:25-26 KJV
(Thank you Cale for the Bird house!)
If you decide for God, living a life of God-worship, it follows that you don't fuss about what's on the table at mealtimes or whether the clothes in your closet are in fashion. There is far more to your life than the food you put in your stomach, more to your outer appearance than the clothes you hang on your body. Look at the birds, free and unfettered, not tied down to a job description, careless in the care of God. And you count far more to him than birds. Matthew 6:25-26 MSG

Shepherd
He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young. To whom then will you liken God? or what likeness will you compare to him? Isaiah 40:11,18

****2010 Jingle Bell Jog 5k***
The temperature was nice this year, about 50F at start time. Lots of familiar faces. Everyone gathered in front of First United Methodist Church for the start and made two laps downtown along the Tupelo Christmas parade route, and finished at Reed's Department Store, the sponsor of the parade.
Several very good high school runners attended and Max (in bright yellow singlet) who is running for Ole Miss this year and a Tupelo High graduate from last year(he runs on the UM CC team).
Here come Forrest (Spartan Senior) and Josh L.(THS Sophmore).
First lap Santa in the lead, 2nd lap David past him.(Lynn H.-Santa)

Our new puppy:
Pax which means peace.

She is very inquisitive.
She is trying to make friends with Rajah,
but so far that is not working out.
Hope
God is our hope!
As the blood ran out the punctures in His head from the crown of thorns,
as it ran down His dusty, sweaty, bruised face,
as that blood ran down His heaving chest that was struggling for air,
as it ran dow a chest scarred and beat for me,
as it ran down His thighs lifting His body for air of this world,
as that blood coursed down to His foot,
as that blood pooled upon a foot that brought me a Message of Love,
as the drops of blood dropped off His big toe,
and splattered upon the ground at the foot of the cross,
as it splattered drop by drop from my Master,
upon the ground He created
as it did it covered a sinner such as i, dust at the foot of the Cross of Jesus,
God is our Hope!
I am clean because my Master is my Hope!
